About
Originally from Gallup New Mexico, I spent the first decade of my life surrounded by southwest environments and culture. Being half Diné (Navajo), my identity runs in tangent with many of the beliefs of this culture. After moving to Albuquerque when I was 11, I grew up in the city running cross country, hiking the Sandias, and exploring the world of arts such as photography, drawing and music.
I graduated from UNM with a BA in Cinematic Arts in 2015. It is through this experience I started my videography/filmmaking career. This profession is ongoing as I take on projects that are socially meaningful and engage with me intellectually. It is through this profession I attribute my ability to work with a team and communicate meaningfully.
I have a strong connection to the outdoors and worked as a Wilderness Ranger from 2019 to 2024. In this role I learned a great deal about the PLSS(Public Land Survey System) and working with many agencies to accomplish our goals of protecting Wilderness. It is in this position where I taught myself QGIS to make simple maps for reports and volunteer opportunities.
In general, I’m pretty easy going and prefer to work with others rather than by myself. I like exercising and trying to get outside as often as I can. I play the keyboard; sometimes with a band, and try to watch live music from local artists. I love my wife, my dog, and my cat, and try to involve them in my passions when I can. .
